The centre has:
- Performed more than 800 cycles in 2005
- Achieved a consistently good clinical pregnancy rate between 34% and 40% over the past four years
- Achieved clinical pregnancy rate per frozen embryo transfer of 22%
In 2001, KKIVF achieved the 1st Laser Assisted Hatching pregnancy in Singapore, which resulted in a live birth in May 2002.
Improvements in clinical techniques, embryo culture techniques and embryo selection have also led to a rise in success rates & a reduction in the risks of multiple pregnancies. Over the last three years, our elective double embryo transfer cycle (hence, avoided the risk of triple pregnancies) achieved an average of 42% success per embryo transfer.
Asia’s first IVF (In-Vitro fertilization) baby was born in KKH on 19 May 1983.
