I am a Healthy Breastfed Baby!
The KKH Healthy Breastfed Baby Contest 2011 seeks to promote the benefits of breastfeeding and marked the world breastfeeding week.

The KKH Healthy Breastfed Baby Contest was held annually as part of KKH's continual effort to promote and encourage breastfeeding. Almost 200 proud breastfeeding mothers signed up their precious tots for the contest. Out of the many hopefuls, only 80 finalists, between three and 24 months, were shortlisted for the finals on 31 July 2011.

It was a day of carnival fun with activities like magic show, balloon sculpturing and there was even a play area which mimics a road safety park where toddlers can cycle around. For the first time, KKH partnered Singapore Post and Young Parents Magazine to offer free photo-taking opportunities for the participants. Each finalist gets to take home a picture of their baby on a mock Young Parents magazine cover as well as a postage stamp sheet with their baby's photo on it.

The little breastfed stars were definitely a hit with the crowd. Making a special guest appearance was Dr Amy Khor, Minister-of-State for Ministry of Health, who also did us the honours of giving away the top prizes. Thanks to our generous sponsors, the top winners of our baby contest walked away with cash prizes, a Y-bike, a trophy, See Kai Run shoes voucher, a diaper bag & voucher from Mums R Us, and a certificate of participation.
