Entry Criteria
For Staff Registrar
You must possess a basic medical degree that can be registered with Singapore Medical Council with a recognised postgraduate degree.
For Clinical Fellow and Observer positions (only available for 1 year of training)
A) For Clinical Fellow
- Minimum of 3 years working experience as a medical officer (or equivalent);
- Fulfill English Language requirements of SMC1
- Preferably have obtained a postgraduate diploma or degree in his country.
- Must be funded from their respective institutions
As a Clinical Fellow, the doctor will be allowed to be involved in patient care and make entries in patients' case note, communicate care plans to patients and fellow healthcare professionals and perform procedures under direct supervision or Level 1 supervision.
B) For Clinical Observer
Clinical Observers unlike Clinical Fellows
- Cannot be involved in direct patient care; and
- Cannot be allowed to make entries in patients' case notes or write prescriptions for patients. However they can be allowed to assist in procedures but must remain under direct supervision or Level 1 supervision of the supervisor at all times.
- Must be self funded.
Teaching Programme
Training will be provided in all aspects of Women's and Children's Imaging. Candidates Staff Registrars and Clinical Fellows will be required to perform in house calls during their attachment to our department. Research projects are encouraged.
