The clinical attachment provides opportunities for the nurse to gain knowledge and skills in the current nursing practice and services in this specialty.

Entry Criteria
- Registered General Nurse and Midwife with temporary registration with Singapore Nursing Board if hands-on required.
- Proficiency in English language.
Expected learning / learning objectives
On completion, the trainee will be able to:
- Discuss the role of the nurse in:
- Obstetric nursing
- Gynaecological nursing
- Discuss the nursing care of:
- Patients in labour
- Well and sick neonates
- Antenatal and postnatal patients
- Discuss infection control in a hospital.
- Discuss the role of the Nurse Manager in obstetrics and gynaecology.
