The KK Gynaecological Cancer Centre (GCC) / Colposcopy Suite is a tertiary referral centre which serves over 450 new cases of gynaecological malignancy and over 500 new cases of Gynaecological premalignancy each year. The centre is recognised by the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists as an Accredited Overseas Training Centre for Gynaecological Oncology Fellowship Training.

Active programmes in women’s cancer support, cancer education, basic and clinic research are integral to the centre.

Preinvasive Disease Fellowship
Entry Criteria
  • At least 1 year after MRCOG, MRANZCOG, M.MED (O&G) or equivalent.
  • Adequate surgical dexterity appropriate for treatment of pre-invasive cervical pathology.
  • Conversant in English.
  • Accreditations approved by Ministry of Health Singapore (MOH), Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
  • Basic qualities of a good clinician – responsible, compassionate and high ethical value.
  • Candidates will be assessed within the first 3 months and will continue with the programme if deemed suitable.

  • To complete and obtain certification for the LEEP/Laser Surgery.
  • To complete the academic and practical syllabus for the Fellowship programme.

Gynaecological Oncology Fellowship

Clinical Preceptorship in Gynaecological Oncology
Entry Criteria
  • MRCOG, MRANZCOG, Master of Medicine in Obstetrics & Gynaecological or equivalent
  • Accreditation approved by MOH, SMC and KKH

Learning Objectives

The Clinical Preceptorship Programme in Gynaecological Oncology provides overseas candidates with a first-hand experience of the practice of gynaecological oncology in a subspecialty centre. It is a short term attachment where preceptees will be able to assist in gynaecological cancer surgery, participate in clinical rounds, observe in clinics and participate in tumour boards and related clinical meetings. The underlying concept is one of clinical guidance, close supervision and academic teaching. The programme does not lead to any formal certification. It is only for foreign applicants.

The programme will be particularly suited to:

  • Foreign advanced gynaecological trainees who wish to undergo a short attachment prior to deciding on a subspecialty career in Gynaecological Oncology
  • Foreign gynaecologic oncologists who wish to update their knowledge and practice

Teaching Programme

The academic programme, practical programme and materials provided are same as in the full Gynaecological Oncology Fellowship except :

  • Brief exposure over 2 weeks only
  • Research project optional
