Together with a team of sonographers specialising in ultrasound screening of foetal abnormalities, our obstetricians perform detailed foetal measurements and assessment of foetal structures on all pregnancies of expectant mothers delivering at KKH.

Confirmatory tests for chromosome abnormalities like amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling and foetal blood sampling are performed under ultrasound visualisation by the Maternal Foetal Specialist at the ADC.
Other ultrasound-guided procedures that are performed at the ADC include the aspiration of excess amniotic fluid in conditions like polyhydramnios and the surgical treatment of twin pregnancies with twin-twin transfusion syndrome. |
