A team comprising paediatric oncologists, a paediatric neurosurgeon and a paediatric oncology surgeon, together with specially trained paediatric nurses and paramedical personnel look after the children.

The centre offers a comprehensive range of services for children with cancer. It is outfitted with 15 inpatient beds, 4 Bone Marrow Transplant rooms, 12 Day Therapy beds for outpatient treatment, and a pharmacy which dispenses only oncology drugs.

KKH's Paediatric Oncology Service is also equipped with pheresis facilities to support stem cell transplant in the treatment of cancer.

Each child's emotional and financial needs are well looked after. The centre runs a support group for cancer patients and their families. The hospital's medical social workers provide financial counselling to the families and source for funds to help them cope with the costs of treatment. As cancer treatment is an intensive long-term process, most families need some sort of financial help to lighten the burden of caring for a very sick child. Dedicated medical social workers also work hand in hand with the Children's Cancer Foundation to offer psycho-social support.
