Inside Specialist Outpatient Clinic M, Children's Specialist Clinics, Level 1, Children's Tower

The Clinical Measurement Unit provides diagnostic tests for patients with respiratory conditions such as asthma and allergic symptoms (respiratory medicine); heart conditions (cardiology); and epilepsy (neurophysiology).

The test results will be used by doctors in the clinical management of their patients.

 
The following tests are carried out in the Clinical Measurement Unit:

 

Cardiac tests (to detect heart conditions)

Cardiac Catheterisation
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
2D-Echocardiogram (see photo above)
Holter test
Treadmill
Pacemaker Check
 

Neurophysiology tests (to test for electrical responses of the brain and nervous system)

Electroencephalogram (EEG)
Evoked potential tests
Video EEG
 

Respiratory Medicine tests (for conditions relating to lung function and allergies)

Lung function tests
Skin prick tests (allergen tests)
Sleep study
