At the Children's Day Surgery operating theatres (OT), our paediatric surgeons, anaesthetists and nurses make every effort to prepare children and their parents mentally and physically for the operation.

On the morning of the surgery, the children relax by playing with toys in a room adjacent to the OT. To minimise pain, paediatric nurses apply painkiller creams on the children's hands when administering anaesthesia and other drugs.

Circumcision, herniotomy and orchidopexy are some common procedures performed in the OT.

Women's Day Surgery

The Women's Day Surgery team of doctors and nurses carry out almost 4,000 day surgeries a year. Common day surgeries for women:

Evacuation of uterus
Dilatation and curretage (D&C)
Hysteroscopy
Laparoscopy
