Reconstructive Service
The Centre offers breast reconstructive services after a mastectomy. It also specialises in reconstructive surgery for gynaecological cases or after trauma (e.g. road traffic accidents, etc).
Weight Management Clinic (for Women and Children)
The Weight Management Clinic offers a comprehensive programme which aims to help overweight women and children lose weight the healthy way.
The programme is managed by a multi-disciplinary team of physicians, dietitians and physiotherapists. It is supported by many specialists such as endocrinologists, respiratory physicians, surgeons and psychologists.
The objective of the programme is to achieve significant and sustained weight loss by inculcating healthy eating habits, regular exercise, and other practical lifestyle changes. Medications and surgery may be offered only if indicated. Concurrent health problems will be managed in tandem with weight loss therapy.
The programme is suitable for all overweight children 6 - 18 years of age, and women above the age of 18. Younger children will be managed as appropriate for age.
The 6-month package includes:
- Consultations with the physician for health evaluation and follow-up as well as treatment of obesity-related health issues and other general medical problems.
- Appointments with the dietitian for individual dietary plan and counselling.
- Physiotherapy treatment sessions for individualised exercise prescription and modification.
For suitable patients, aesthetic procedures and surgery to aid weight loss are also available. |
