The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in KK Women's and Children's Hospital started providing clinical services in May 1997. Since then it has been one of the fastest growing departments in the hospital. In 2005, the department expanded to provide orthopaedic care for women. The department is staffed by full-time, fellowship-trained paediatric orthopaedic surgeons as well as visiting orthopaedic consultants with different subspecialty interests. Our surgeons are committed to provide the highest quality specialist care for children and women.
The department also has a strong commitment to training undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as doctors from abroad. All our senior staff have teaching appointments with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
