Throat - Objects

Your Child Has Swallowed A Foreign Body

Most foreign bodies will pass down the intestines without much difficulty.

Consult your doctor when the following occurs:

Chest pain
Drooling of saliva
Difficulty in swallowing saliva and food
Refusal to take food/feeds
Disc/button batteries have been swallowed
If there is pain and it lasts more than 24 hours
Abdominal pain
Vomiting, especially if there is blood

Complete any antibiotics if prescribed by your doctor.

Always keep your ENT appointment.
