Activities for Children

We know how play helps children cope with and understand the world around them. That’s why we’ve lined up a series of activities for our kiddies who have to stay in the hospital.

Indoors

The Play Centre

Activity sessions, art and craft and computers are the call of the day at this 'home away from home' for our patients and their families.

A wide selection of books, from picture books for toddlers to adventure series for teenagers, can also be found here. There is also a range of reference books for parents.

The Play Centre is a safe environment for inpatient children of all ages and families to engage in relaxing and fun activities.

The Play Centre is located on Level 8, Children’s Tower, next to Ward 85.

Operating hours: Monday - Friday: 09:30 - 12:00, 14:30 - 17:00.

Closed on weekends and public holidays.

Play Lounge

Each ward has a play area for your child to play in.

Rainbow Academic Support Programme (gRASP)

Is your child missing out on his school lessons while in hospital?

Club Rainbow (Singapore), a registered charity dedicated to helping children with chronic illnesses, has lauched a programme to provide free bedside tuition for children in primary school who are warded in KKH for a prolonged duration or have multiple admissions.

The programme aims to help such children catch up on lessons they have missed in school.

Outdoors

Please inform the ward nurse if you wish to bring your child out of the ward. Do supervise your child at all times when you bring him out.

Children’s Courtyard

The Children’s Courtyard features a series of sculptures children can easily relate to.

Outside the Specialist Clinics, Children’s Tower, Level 1.

Kampong Java Park

Go for a leisurely stroll in the park, take in the fresh air, and listen to the music of wind chimes as the breeze gently blows through the leaves.
