EAT SMART, MOVE MORE, LOVE LIFE!
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
It is a group-based program specially designed for women who wish to gain control over their weight through a combination of diet, physical activity and behavioural modification. This program is conducted by a team of KKH’s healthcare professionals (exercise specialist, dietician and psychologist) who understand the unique issues faced by women and is dedicated in helping women to change their lifestyles.
Participants will learn through these interactive group sessions consisting of effective diet and exercise plans for weight loss, as well as strategies to implement and maintain positive lifestyle changes. Participants will also be guided to perform various types of gym workout (stretching, aerobic and resistance exercises) during each session. Fitness testing, weight and body fat measurement will be done at the beginning and the end of the program to monitor the participant’s progress.
No. of Sessions per program: 10 weekly sessions conducted over 3 months
Number of participants per program: 8 to 14

FOR WHOM?
Women aged 18 years old or above, with body mass index (BMI) 25 to 37(BMI = Weight in kg / height2 in metre) and ready to make a change in their lifestyles!
A medical clearance letter from your physician is required if you are on medication or treatment for any chronic medical problems affecting the following body systems:
- Heart and blood vessels (e.g. ischemic heart diseases, high blood pressure, high cholesterol)
- Lungs (e.g. chronic asthma, chronic obstructive lung disease)
- Kidneys (e.g. renal failure)
- Endocrine system (e.g. diabetes mellitus, thyroid problem)
- Joints (e.g. osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis)
This program is not suitable for pregnant women and individuals suffering from acute or chronic joint pain or injuries.
