Women’s Fitness

Women’s Fitness is a weight management / fitness programme designed to cultivate awareness of the benefits of exercise. We aim to motivate & equip women to achieve a lifetime of fitness while maintaining a healthy weight..

Who is eligible?

Women’s Fitness is suitable for Women aged 18 years and above, with weight concerns or poor physical fitness due to sedentary lifestyles, chronic illnesses or reduced physical activity after a major surgery or chemotherapy.

Programme Outline

Once referred to the programme, an entry assessment is carried out to evaluate the participant’s body composition (via skinfold and tetrapolar bio-impedance measurement), aerobic fitness (sub-maximal) and muscle strength/endurance.

Based on the assessment, a personalised fitness training plan is prepared with realistic goals for each participant. Participants are then engaged in gym-based exercises in either individual or group sessions under the supervision of an exercise specialist, to improve their body composition, aerobic fitness, strength and balance.

The physical activity and lifestyle are also assessed and participants are counselled on lifestyle management.

Participants of individual sessions may later opt to move to a group session subject to evaluation by the exercise specialist.
