Synopsis:

A six weeks Parent Group Programme for parents with children between 2 to 5 years old.

Circle of Security (COS) Parenting is an internationally recognised evidence based program designed to enhance the bond and sense of security for parent and child in their relationship.
This group aims to:

  • Provide a roadmap to understand their child's behaviour and needs
  • Invite parents to reflect on their own experiences of being parented and how it impacts on their parenting
  • Provide a safe environment where parents can identify their strengths and struggles and benefit from sharing with other parents in the group

Synopsis:

Join us for a yummy art bonding session with your children!

In this workshop, you will learn to create a still life watermelon painting inspired by Mexican Painter Frida Kahlo’s Viva La Vida Watermelons. Children will also experience clay art and make their own clay cookies!

Our little artists will also be rewarded with a facepainting at the end of the workshop!

Synopsis:

PAWs is a 1-day intensive workshop ideally suited for specialists or residents in anesthesiology, critical care, paediatric medicine, emergency medicine and ENT physicians with a special interest in the paediatric airway and ventilation.

PAWs is co-organized by the departments of Paediatric Anesthesia and Children’s Intensive Care Unit of KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore. The course aims to refresh and update the participant’s skills and knowledge in handling the paediatric airway and common modes of ventilation in the ICU. Some highlights of our workshop include hands-on advanced airway skill stations and live demonstration of the various ventilation strategies on anesthetized animals; simulations sessions; problem-based roundtable discussions and interactive lectures.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants should be able to:
- appreciate the armamentarium available in paediatric airway management
- discuss and practice basic paediatric airway skills
- develop skills for advanced airway management, including one-lung ventilation
- discuss and understand the common ventilation strategies in children’s ICU
- develop or improve crisis resources management skills at airway crisis

A workshop specially tailored for parents with weaning babies aged after 6 months of age. Our Dietician and Speech Language Therapist will share with participants essential information on baby's feeding progression, nutrition and weaning. A cooking demonstration will show ways to prepare your baby's food.

Each participant will be allocated a time slot during the assessment. Please expect the waiting time to be 30 minutes to one hour.
