Volunteering at KKH - KK Women's and Children's Hospital

At KKH, our hospital volunteers play an important role in the lives of our patients, helping to support their emotional and social well-being.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join us!

Volunteer Requirements:

Fulfill the time commitment required for the relevant volunteer programme.
Submit proof of required vaccinations before commencing volunteer activities at KKH.

Vaccination Requirements for hospital volunteers:

1 dose of Tdap (taken within the last 10 years)
2 doses of MMR (OR blood test result showing measles, mumps and rubella igG Positive)
2 doses of Varicella (OR blood test result showing Varicella IgG positive)

KKH Volunteer Programmes:

Ward Basic Care Volunteer Criteria:

Age:	17 years and above
Period required:	Minimum 3 months after orientation, once a week on a fixed day
Schedule:	Weekdays or weekends 9.00am to 11.00am or 12.00pm to 2.00pm or 5.00pm to 7.00pm
Intakes:	Dec 2023 to Feb 2024 Mar to May 2024 Jun to Aug 2024 Sept to Nov 2024 Dec 2024 to Feb 2025	Intake is full Intake is full Intake is full Apply by: 9th Aug 2024 Apply by: 8th Nov 2024

(Spaces in each intake are subject to availability and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.)

Note: Volunteers with more experience may be approached to help with additional tasks. Training will be provided.

Alpine Blossoms Volunteer Criteria:

	Age:	25 years and above
	Profile:	Breast Cancer survivor, completed treatment
	Period required:	Minimum 1 year
	Schedule:	Once a week on a weekday, 2 to 4 hours

Befriend and attend to cancer patients
Engage cancer patients in craft / art activities
Establish at least once a month contact with assigned patients either by phone or hospital visits

Women's Cancer Support Group Volunteer Criteria:

	Age:	21 years and above
	Period required:	Minimum 1 year
	Schedule:	Once a week on a fixed weekday, 4 hours To attend support group meetings once every 2 months
