Dr Kam Kai-Qian completed her undergraduate medical studies at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She entered the SingHealth Paediatric Medicine Residency Program in 2013 and obtained the degrees of MRCPCH and Master of Medicine (Paediatric Medicine) in 2016. From 2017 to 2018, she served as the Chief Resident for the Paediatric Medicine residency program. Upon completion of the residency program, she joined the Paediatric Infectious Disease service in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). Her research and clinical interests encompass emerging infectious diseases, respiratory infections in children, vaccinations, antimicrobial stewardship, and public health policies related to infectious disease control and epidemiology. Dr Kam holds previous positions in multiple national/cluster committees; she is currently the Chairperson of the Hospital Infection Control Committee, and a member of the SingHealth Infection Control Network and National Infection Prevention Committee. Dr Kam is also actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, holding appointments in the 3 medical schools. With a dedicated focus on clinical research and public health, Dr Kam graduated from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with a Master of Public Health in May 2024. She has authored several research articles published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals. Dr Kam had received several national awards for her dedication to public service including the Singapore Health Quality Service Award (Gold) in 2022 and Public Administration Medal (Bronze, COVID-19) in 2023.
