The Obstetric Anaesthesia Fellowship KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore offers advanced clinical training, teaching and research with a busy caseload of about 12,000 deliveries and 5,000 labour epidural analgesia cases per year. This is a tertiary referral center that provides a full range of obstetric-related care. Commonly encountered pregnancy-related problems include pre-eclampsia, diabetes, prematurity, morbid obesity and multiple gestation. Complex patients are approached by an interprofessional team that includes perinatologists, neonatologists, anaesthesiologists, nursing and other medical and surgical consultants as needed.
Fellows are appointed for periods up to 12 months. The department is accredited for training by the Singapore Medical Council and hosts rotating Senior Residents, Residents and Medical Officers training in Obstetric Anaesthesia and Research. Applications from overseas are welcomed and an application form is attached.
Program objectives can be tailored to suit the career plans of the individual.
Fellows will have clinical, teaching and research responsibilities.
Fees will be determined upon application.
