Profile

Dr Liang is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery at Singapore General Hospital. A pioneering graduate of the SingHealth Residency programme, he specialises in complex reconstructive microsurgery, with particular expertise in head and neck cancer reconstruction. He is one of only three surgeons performing these intricate procedures at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Head and Neck Centre.

After graduating from the National University of Singapore's School of Medicine, he obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and completed his Master of Medicine in Surgery. He enhanced his expertise through fellowships at both the SingHealth Duke-NUS Head and Neck Center and under renowned Professor Seng-Feng Jeng at E-Da Hospital, Taiwan.

His comprehensive practice encompasses breast, trunk, and limb reconstruction, managing complex wounds including burns, diabetic foot wounds, and post-traumatic defects. Dr Liang also offers expertise in aesthetic surgery, non-invasive procedures, and scar management. Having played a key role in establishing the Plastic Surgery Service at Sengkang General Hospital, he now continues to advance surgical care and medical excellence at Singapore General Hospital.
