Profile

Dr Michelle Lim Hui Ping is currently a Consultant at the Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit, Division of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

She graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Singapore with the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2009 and went on to attain her Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in London, UK in 2014.

Dr Lim specializes in Minimally Invasive Surgery and her areas of interest include Endometriosis and complex gynaecological surgery. She currently runs clinics at the KKH Minimally Invasive Surgery and Endometriosis Centre. She has expertise in performing laparoscopic surgeries for the treatment of Endometriosis and Adenomyosis, as well as removal of ovarian cysts (laparoscopic cystectomy), fibroids (laparoscopic myomectomy) and uterus (laparoscopic hysterectomy).

Dr Lim was awarded the MOH Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Scholarship in 2021 for Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopy and Endometriosis and completed her surgical fellowship under the esteemed Professor William Lin, at China Medical University Hospital, Taiwan.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Lim is actively involved in the surgical training of her colleagues and has been involved as a surgical trainer in several workshops. She also holds appointments of clinical educator and examiner to medical students at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School.

Dr Lim believes in placing her patients' best interests and concerns at the core of her counselling and management. She is at heart a clinician, and has received numerous awards for providing quality healthcare service.
