Dr Zaw Lwin graduated from the Institute of Medicine (1), Yangon, Myanmar in 1990. He started his career in Paediatric Medicine since 1995 and he had further paediatric training under the International Paediatric Training Scheme in the United Kingdom with the sponsorship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. He became the member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2003. He also obtained the Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in 2003 and another Diploma in Child Health from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in December 2003. He was awarded the Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2010. He completed the Advanced Specialist Training in Paediatric Medicine under Joint Committee of Speciality Training (JCST), Singapore in 2014 and he was awarded with the Fellow of Academy of Medicine in 2015.

He is currently working as a senior consultant in the Department of Emergency Medicine, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and is also holding the academic position as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Duke-NUS Medical School, Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics, National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and Clinical Teacher in the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Singapore. He has a special interest in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Clinical Simulation and Medical Education.
