Dr Angela Yeo is a Senior Consultant anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist in the Department of Paediatric Anaesthesia in KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH).
She graduated from the NUS School of Medicine in 2005 with an MBBS and achieved her MMed (Anaesthesiology) in 2012. She was then registered as a specialist with the Singapore Medical Council in 2014 and has since completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesia & Pain Medicine with the Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Melbourne after having been awarded the Singhealth HMDP Fellowship in FY2014. Dr Yeo is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS).
Angela is the current Clinical Lead for the Children's Pain Service, and runs the Children's Pain Management Clinic, Asia’s first pediatric interdisciplinary pain management clinic, where she sees complex and chronic pain, including oncological and palliative cases. She is also a member of the Pediatric Pain Committee in the hospital and Clinical Lead for the Ouchless Project, a procedural pain initiative.
Her secondary appointments include Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Clinical Teacher (Duke-NUS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, and Interpersonal & Communication Skills (ICS) Competency Teaching Faculty. For her contribution to medical education, she was awarded the Singhealth Residency Outstanding Faculty Award in August 2018.
Professional bodies that Angela contributes to as a member include the Singapore Medical Association (SMA), Singapore Society of Anesthesiologists (SSA), Asian Society of Pediatric Anaesthesiologists (ASPA), International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Pain in Childhood SIG, and the Asia-Pacific Hospice Palliative Care Network (APHN). She is also the current Treasurer of the Pain Association of Singapore (PAS).
