KK Eye Centre is the only dedicated paediatric eye clinic within a children's hospital in Singapore and the region. Our team of experienced paediatric ophthalmologists is assisted by clinic staff experienced in caring for children.

KK Eye Centre is the leading centre for the management of paediatric cataracts. Babies and young children with cataracts require highly specialised care and prompt treatment because untreated cataracts can have lasting adverse effect on visual development.

The centre uses state-of-the-art equipment and has successfully implanted intraocular lenses in children as young as 1 year old. Our success rate for paediatric cataract surgery is comparable to many other reputable centres in the world.

It is also the only facility in Singapore with the retinal imaging system Retcam, which is important for documenting and following up serial changes in retinal lesions in children after treatment, such as a form of eye cancer in children known as retinoblastoma.
