Synopsis:

A forum for all mums, dads and parents-to-be.

Highlights:

  • Child safety and injury prevention
  • Maximising your family and child subsides and schemes
  • Common childhood illnesses and the Children's Emergency visit
  • Interview with expert on managing parenting anxieties and discover the joy of parenthood

Forum is followed by two sessions of workshops to choose from. Each participant is entitled to one workshop per session.

Event:Assertive Parenting — Saying No to Your Child

Audience:Suitable for parents with children ages 2 to 6 years old.

Synopsis:

Does your child act out to get his or her way? Do you find it difficult to say "no" to your child?

It can be both time-consuming and exhausting to put up with and manage a child’s undesirable behaviours or tantrums.

Learn through this workshop skills and strategies on how to help your child delay gratification, accept 'no' for an answer, and develop more desirable behaviours over time.

• Why it is important to sometimes say “no” to your child
• When to say “no” (or “yes”)
• Practical strategies on how to say “no”
• Practise saying “no” to your child
