Synopsis:

The Practice Update in Paediatrics (PUP) is an annual forum organised by the Division of Medicine of KK Women's of Children's Hospital (KKH) to present key advances in paediatrics and address contemporary questions in General Paediatrics.

This year's PUP is a combined forum together with Division of Surgery at KKH to give a holistic perspective on paediatric care. Experts from the subspecialties will discuss on the approach and specific challenges in the management of various paediatric conditions, which are frequently encountered in general and communuity paediatric practice.

This course provides an overview of the radiological and pathological principles of diagnosis of acute paediatric and gynaecological conditions with particular emphasis on relevant radiological-pathological correlation and some of the limitations of these, the appreciation of which is particularly important to residents in the medical, surgical, radiological and pathology disciplines, as well as clinicians who just want a quick revision on these conditions. The clinical perspectives and findings will also be presented to complete the picture.
