At 6am on April 6th 2018, a team of lovingly restored vintage Vespa sidecars will set off on a 500 mile road trip to Penang.

The 10 person team riding 4 sidecars, and accompanied by 2 support vehicles will raise funds and awareness for NCC Research Fund.

The multi-national team of riders originate variously from Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, UK and Brazil.

The first leg leg of the adventure sees the team arriving at Ramada Plaza Malacca, where they will be met by members of the press to draw attention to the cancer cause.

The team chose Penang as the destination, as this was where Singapore Sidecars Founder Simon Wong's late wife came from. She was cared for at NCCS during her fight with cancer.

This 500 mile ride is a unique event and will enter the Book of Records upon completion. The journey will take the intrepid riders via a scenic route passing old kampungs, paddy fields, and dusty highways.
