A/Prof Choong Chew Thye is a Senior Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at the KK Women's and Children's Hospital and an adjunct Associate Professor of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, the Duke-NUS Graduate School of Medicine and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
She obtained her MBBS MMed Paediatrics from the National University of Singapore, following which she completed a one year fellowship in Child Neurology at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA and the Hammersmith Hospital United Kingdom (Health & Manpower Development Plan Award). She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine & the College of Paediatrics & Child Health Singapore.
A/Prof Choong has more than 20 years of specialist experience and teaching. She manages children with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, migraine and neuro-genetic diseases. In collaboration with the Rehabilitation Department, Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Services, she established two clinical programs: the multidisciplinary Spasticity Combined Neurology SCNR Clinics and the Botox Program to optimize management of children with spasticity & cerebral palsy.
