Profile

Adj Assoc Prof Lim Sok Bee is a Senior Consultant of the Department of Child Development at KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital (KKH). She was Head of Department of Child Development from 2005 to February 2016. She was working in the field of neonatology since 1985 and was the former Head of Department of Neonatology, KKH till 2005.

She has a special interest in premature babies at risk for developmental delays. She started the Very Low Birth Weight follow-up programme in KKH and anchored it from 1991-2001.

Dr Lim’s sub-specialty interest includes universal newborn hearing screening. She was the project director who started the program in KKH in 2002. She has been working with children with specific learning needs and developmental disorder since 1996.
