Profile

Clinical Assistant Professor Tan Teing Ee is Deputy Chief Executive Officer (National Cardiac Services and Quality) (Designate), as well as Head and Senior Consultant with the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS). He is the Chief Medical Informatics Officer and Director of Heart Transplant and Mechanical Assist Device Programme of NHCS.

Clin Asst Prof Tan’s subspecialty interest is in cardiac surgery (adult), minimally invasive heart surgery, heart lung transplant, mechanical heart assist device and pacemaker lead extraction.

He graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 1989. Clin Asst Prof Tan did his fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Westmead Hospital, NSW, Australia in 2001 and Mt Sinai Hospital, New York, USA in 2002.

He has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, since 1995 and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore since 2003.
