​Dr Tay Su Ann graduated from the Royal Free and University College Medical School, London in 2007 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She subsequently returned to Singapore to further her training and completed her basic and advanced speciality training in ophthalmology at the Singapore National Eye Centre in 2015, obtaining a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmology (M Med Ophthalmology) in 2012 and the Fellow of the Academic Medicine, Singapore (FAMS) in Ophthalmology in 2015. She also received the SingHealth Residency 'Best Registrar Award' in 2015.  She then went on to pursue further sub-specialty training in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, completing a clinical fellowship at the Singapore National Eye Centre in 2016.  She is currently practicing as a consultant at the Singapore National Eye Centre.
