What side effects can
Vinorelbine (Oral)
cause?
- Nausea and vomiting
There are medicines available, which may prevent or decrease these side effects. If you are given these medicines, take them as directed. - Constipation with abdominal cramping
- Mild to moderate fatigue or weakness
- Muscle pain
- Decreased white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets
This may increase your chances of getting infections, bruising or bleeding and feeling tired. - Temporary hair loss may occur several weeks after treatment
- Numbness, tingling or burning sensation on fingers and toes may occur after several treatments
Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:
- Fever of 38°C or higher, sore throat, severe mouth sore
- Unusual bruising, bleeding or black tarry stools
- Chest pain, sudden onset or gradual worsening of cough or breathlessness
- Severe constipation not relieved by laxatives, with severe abdominal pain
- Yellowing of the eyes or skin and dark tea-coloured urine
- Allergic reaction e.g. rashes, facial swelling

- Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you:
- Have any other medical conditions e.g. heart problems.
- Are taking any long-terms medicines or supplements, and if you plan to start any new ones.
- Plan to have any vaccination or just had one, especially yellow fever vaccination.
- Effective birth control measures are recommended for both men and women during and up to 3 months after treatment with Vinorelbine. Inform your doctor if you plan to or suspect that you are pregnant.
- Do not breastfeed while taking Vinorelbine. Inform your doctor if you have any intentions to.

How should

be used?
It is a capsule taken by mouth, after food and swallowed whole with water. Do not chew or suck the capsule. Take the exact number of capsules, according to the schedule instructed by your doctor.
If vomiting occurs soon after a dose, please check with your doctor if you require a repeat dose.
