The Singapore Integrated 24-Hour Activity Guidelines for Children and Adolescents (7 to 18 years)

The Singapore Integrated 24-Hour Activity Guidelines for Children and Adolescents (7 to 18 years) is to provide guidance to encourage Singapore children and adolescents to adopt a holistic approach towards integrating all types of activity within a daily 24-hour period. These activities (including physical activity, sedentary behaviour, sleep and eating habit) are closely inter-related in terms of health benefits and time consumption. Through the education, encouragement and promotion of these beneficial activities, we hope the children and adolescents will continue these activities into their adulthood for a life-time of good health and lower their risk of future non-communicable diseases (e.g. heart disease, stroke and diabetes).
