The Singapore Integrated 24-Hour Activity Guidelines for Early Childhood

The Singapore Integrated 24-Hour Activity Guidelines for Early Childhood (below 7 years) is to provide guidance to encourage Singapore infants, toddlers and preschoolers to adopt a holistic approach towards integrating all types of activity within a daily 24-hour period. These activities (including physical activity, sedentary behaviour, sleep and eating habit) are closely inter-related in terms of health benefits and time consumption. Through the education, encouragement and promotion of these beneficial activities, we hope to build a healthy foundation towards a life-time of good health for the infants, toddlers and pre-schoolers and lower their risk of future non-communicable diseases (e.g. heart disease, stroke and diabetes).
