At KKH, we put patients at the heart of everything we do. Thank you for joining us in the endeavor and wanting to put a smile on our patients’ faces.

If you are considering donating items for KKH patients, here is some information you may find useful.

Donated items are required to meet the following criteria:

  • Age-appropriate – Ensure all items’ contents (text, images) are suitable for the age group of patients you are donating to. Do avoid potentially sensitive topics including sexuality, gender, ethnicity, religion, and politics.
  • Individually wrapped – All items are required to be individually boxed or wrapped in clear packaging.
  • Clearly labelled with age group – All items should be individually labelled according to the corresponding age group they are appropriate for.

11 – 16 years Science kits, activity books (word search, riddles etc.), coloring kits, molding clay kits, craft kit (batik painting, 3D craft, origami kits, etc.), card/ board games suitable for 2-3 players etc. Story books about mystery/ adventure/ fantasy, comics (preferably not crime/ horror), magazines (Science and Nature, National Geographic Kids, etc.), joke books

  • Craft kits
  • Reading materials (e.g. magazines)
  • Activity books (e.g. crossword puzzle)
For the health and safety of our patients, please note that we are unable to accept the following:
  • Used or secondhand items
  • Toys with fur
  • Toys shaped like a weapon (e.g. sword, knife, gun)
  • Items with sharp edges
  • Items with small parts (for patients 3 years and below)
  • Small sized items (e.g. magnets, marbles)
  • Food or drink items

As a Baby-friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) hospital, we observe the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes and are unable to accept donations of breastmilk substitutes, bottles, teats and pacifiers.

Please note that distribution of all items to patients will be done by KKH staff.
