Planning For Your Visit

 
The KK Women's and Children's Hospital appointment management services allows you to book new appointments or modify your existing ones. Before making an appointment, you may wish to refer to our list of specialists through our Find a Doctor or Areas of Care pages.
 

Make or Change Appointments

You can make, view or change your appointment online, by clicking here*, or use the Health Buddymobile app.

These options offer you convenient access to information about your appointments any time of the day. You can view all your appointments across SingHealth Institutions at one go.

If you are taking any medications on regular basis, please bring them along in their original dispensed packaging for your doctor's review.

If you need assistance, please call us at:

  Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 5.30pm
  Saturday: 8.30am to 1.00pm

  (Closed on Sunday and Public Holidays)  

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, please do so at least three working days before the scheduled appointment. This will help another patient waiting for medical attention to get an earlier appointment.

Preparing For Your Appointment

For Caregivers: Please remember to bring along your child's Birth Certificate for all appointments.

If you have been requested to perform any tests or scans, please complete them before your appointment.

If you are required to fast before your appointment, please follow the specific instructions that were shared with you.

Items to Bring

For first appointment, please bring along:

  1. Identification documents
    • NRIC/Birth Certificate (for children under 15 years old)
    OR
    • Entry/ Re-entry Permit / Employment Pass / Dependent Pass / Work Pass / Student Pass / Visit Pass or any other identity document of your nationality
  2. Referral letter from your family doctor / polyclinic, if any
  3. Your child’s immunisation booklet, for immunisation visits
  4. Any prior medical reports / results, investigation results and images relevant to your medical condition
  5. Baby Bonus / Pioneer Generation (PG) / Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) cards (if any)
  6. Medical Benefits Card / Hospitalisation Identity Card (HIC) if your employer has signed an agreement/ letter of guarantee (LOG) with KKH
  7. Letter of guarantee from the National Blood Centre for blood donors and their nominees
  8. Letter of guarantee from your employer/ insurance company certifying that your bill will be settled

If you are currently taking any medication, please bring them along to show the specialist(s) so that they have a better understanding of your health.

For subsequent appointment, please bring along:

  1. Appointment Card
  2. Any form for further investigation(s) ordered, that may have been given to you during your earlier visit.
    E.g. x-ray, ultrasound, mammography, blood test

Visitor Registration System

All visitors are required to complete health declaration upon arrival at the hospital. Visitors can also complete online declaration before arrival to help reduce queing time. For clinic appointments at level 3 and above, patients are required to scan their appointment card or identity documents to access the gantries. Persons accompanying patients are encouraged to arrive 30 mins before the appointment time to register at the kiosks or register in advance on KKH’s website before accessing the gantries by scanning their identity documents.

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital is situated at the junction of Bukit Timah and Kampong Java Roads. Only 5 minutes from Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD), the hospital is easily accessible via major expressways linked to different parts of Singapore.

Team-based care

Subsidised patients will receive team-based care led by an assigned specialist. Non-subsidised patients will receive team-based care led by their choice of specialist. Please be assured that patients receive the same quality of care regardless of their subsidy status.

Duration of visit

The time for your visit may take an hour or up to three hours. This is because patients ahead of you may have complex conditions and/or if doctors are called to attend to emergencies in the operating theatres or wards. You may have to wait for the results of your scans or tests to facilitate further medical advice.

Collecting Your Medicine

If you were given a medication prescription, you can collect your medication from KKH Outpatient Pharmacy at Level 1. You can also opt for the Medication Delivery Service.
