Dr Wong Chui Mae is a Senior Consultant Paediatrician in the Departments of Child Development and Neonatology. She joined the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in 2011, having worked in Paediatrics in the UK for 15 years before that. She was accredited as a Specialist in Paediatric Medicine and Neonatology in 2010 by the General Medical Council, UK.
Dr Wong’s sub-specialty interests include Autism Spectrum Disorder and the effect of screen time and sleep on children with developmental disorders, and her PhD was in neonatal pain. She has led the Autism Track Services at KK Hospital since 2013 and has completed various research projects on Autism. Dr Wong is certified in Bayley and Griffiths Developmental Assessments, as well as the ADOS and ADI-R diagnostic tools for autism. She also serves on the SingHealth research ethics Centralised Institutional Review Board.
Dr Wong is a member of the International Society for Autism Research (INSAR), Australasian Society for Autism Research (ASFAR), the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Singapore), the Singapore Paediatric Society, the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (UK), the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (UK), and the Neonatal Society, UK.
