Dr Celene Hui is a Consultant in the Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) Unit, Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). She holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and serves as a Clinical Lecturer at both the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
She is an active council member of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Singapore (OGSS), a national organization dedicated to advancing women’s health and upholding excellence in obstetric and gynecological practice. From 2022 to 2024, she served as a committee member for the Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery division of the Asia & Oceania Federation of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (AOFOG). Currently, she is also a council member of the Society for Gynaecological Minimally Invasive Surgery, Singapore (SGMIS).
Dr Celene is an accredited Level 3 MIS surgeon with a special interest in minimally invasive treatments for benign gynecological conditions such as fibroids and ovarian cysts. In particular, she has a strong interest in “scarless” surgery using the innovative technique of vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery). To further refine her expertise, she has completed international observerships under world-renowned experts and pioneers in the field. She has been invited as an international teaching faculty at various workshops and congresses, including the 2024 AOFOG vNOTES Workshop in Busan, Korea. She remains committed to advancing knowledge in her field and has actively organized and participated in numerous scientific congresses.
Dr Celene is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, and individualized care to each patient. Her excellence in patient care, education, and clinical practice has been recognized with numerous awards, including the SingHealth Star Award (2025), Gold Award (2023), Silver Award (2022), Long Service Award (10 years), KKH Service from the Heart Award, and multiple SingHealth RISE Awards, such as the Outstanding Resident Award, Intermediate Training Examination Award, Inspiring Resident Educator Award, and the SingHealth Duke-NUS OBGYN Academic Clinical Program Best Resident Award.
