Dr Mohammad Ashik obtained his basic medical and postgraduate qualifications from the National University of Singapore and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the UK.
Dr Ashik is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, KK Women's and Children's Hospital. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, DUKE-NUS Graduate Medical School and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
He was awarded the SingHealth Human Manpower Development Program in 2013, allowing him to pursue a 1 year clinical fellowship in Germany.
Dr Ashik is instrumental in advocating minimally invasive surgical approaches (small incisions/keyhole surgery) with the aims of achieving less patient discomfort, shorter hospital stay and faster recovery.
