Training & Fellowships

Foreword

KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital is the largest medical facility in Singapore which provides specialised care for women, babies and children. Since our inception in 1858, we have grown from a 30-bed maternity hospital in 1924 and evolved into an 830-bed hospital for women and children. In fact, we are the only integrated women’s and children’s hospital in Singapore.

Every year, over 500,000 women and children visit us as inpatients or outpatients. In addition, one-third of all couples in Singapore choose to deliver their babies at KKH.

As a major medical facility, KKH plays a pivotal role in training the country’s doctors and nurses specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology, neonatology and paediatrics. The large workload and expertise available in KKH allow for excellent training and research opportunities. Medical advances in these fields find their roots here.

We aim to be the leader in the training of future doctors from Singapore and abroad.

The Training & Fellowship section provides information on the activities and training and research opportunities of the various units and departments.

We welcome you to be part of KKH family, and to join us for a time of sharing and learning to deliver the highest standards of patient care.
