Although Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) presents during pregnancy, the risk of Type 2 Diabetes will be increased for you compared to those who did not have GDM. Besides ensuring that you continue to follow-up with your medical team and to undergo the screening tests at the recommended timepoints, you are encouraged to continue to maintain a healthy eating meal plan after your delivery.
