Additional Information
This test tests for the presence of gene fusions found in endometrial stromal sarcomas (ESS).
YWHAE-NUTM2A/B and ZC3H7B-BCOR gene fusions are described in high-grade ESS, while JAZF1-SUZ12 gene fusion is the most common genetic alteration found in low grade ESS. The absence of the gene fusions does not exclude diagnosis.
In addition, YWHAE-NUTM2A/B and ZC3H7B-BCOR gene fusions are also found in cases of clear cell sarcomas of the kidney

Expected results:
YWHAE-NUTM2A/B gene fusion is detected/not detected.
JAZF1-SUZ12 gene fusion is detected/not detected.
ZC3H7B-BCOR gene fusion is detected/not detected.

If all three fusions are not detected, we will report on the detection of housekeeping gene as a control for RNA integrity.
Negative (RNA integrity is acceptable as checked by housekeeping gene) Inconclusive (RNA quality is not good enough)

The molecular test result must always be correlated with clinical and histopathological findings by an appropriately trained, qualified and experienced pathologist.
