A combination of paracetamol and orphenadrine is commonly used to treat muscle pain. Orphenadrine is a muscle relaxant and paracetamol is used to relieve pain.

Common side effects include:

  • Dry mouth
  • Dry eyes

Rare, but serious side effects include:

  • Retention of urine

  • You are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding
  • You are taking any other medications, including supplements, traditional medications and herbal remedies

​Avoid taking alcohol with paracetamol and orphenadrine as it may cause too much drowsiness.

How should Paracetamol/Orphenadrine be used?

  • ​You may take this medication with or without food.
  • Do not take more than two tablets at any time and make sure to space each dose at least four hours apart.
  • Do not exceed six tablets in 24 hours.
  • Do not take other paracetamol-containing products while on this medication to prevent overdose.

What should I do if I miss a dose?

  • ​Combination tablets containing paracetamol and orphenadrine are generally taken on an as-needed basis. Take them regularly only when directed by the doctor.
  • If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Then take your next dose at the usual time. Do not take two doses to make up for the missed dose.
