Complication Rate after Dermatological Procedure

Our dermatology service provides a wide range of investigations and treatments for skin conditions including skin scrapings (for fungal and scabies infection), cryotherapy (for warts and liver/age spots), skin biopsies, electrocautery (for warts and liver/age spots), phototherapy, DCP immunotherapy, iontophoresis, chemical peels, botulinum toxin injection and laser surgery (for pigmentation, hair removal and skin resurfacing).

Dermatology department performs about 160-200 procedures (punch biopsy/shave/excision biopsies and electrocautery) per year. There have been 0 complications after dermatological procedures since 2016 till 2023.

The complication rate for our dermatological procedures is extremely low, reflecting our emphasis on safety.
