About Doctor

Clin Asst Prof Carolyn Chan is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Women's Anaesthesia at KK Women's and Children's Hospital.  She obtained her undergraduate medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1999 and subsequently completed her specialty training in Anaesthesia & Intensive Care in London. 

Her career spans clinical practice in the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, and now Singapore.  Dr Chan’s obstetric anaesthesia experience includes appointments at several major London centres including Northwick Park Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital, providing her with broad exposure to high-risk and tertiary obstetric care.  Her interests include the multidisciplinary management of high-risk pregnancies, patient safety, and training and education.
