Clinical Asst Professor
Dr Andrea Lau Li Ching is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH), Singapore. She specialises in women’s imaging, with a strong focus on delivering accurate and timely diagnoses that support clinical decision-making and patient care.
With extensive experience in cross-sectional imaging, ultrasound and image-guided procedures, Dr Lau works closely with obstetricians, gynaecologists and surgical teams to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care. She understands that undergoing medical investigations can be an anxious experience, and is committed to providing careful interpretation and clear communication to support both patients and their families.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr Lau is actively involved in education and professional development. She serves as Clinical Site Representative (Abdominal Imaging) for the SingHealth Diagnostic Radiology Residency Programme and is a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Radiological Sciences Academic Clinical Programme at Duke-NUS Medical School. She is passionate about mentoring junior doctors and nurturing excellence in radiology training.
Dr Lau is also the department’s Mindfulness Champion, advocating for staff well-being and a supportive work environment. She believes that cultivating resilience and balance within healthcare teams ultimately enhances the quality of care delivered to patients.
She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) and a Fellow of the Singapore Radiological Society (SRS), and has been recognised for both her clinical service and teaching contributions, including the Singapore Health Quality Service Award (Gold) and the Outstanding Faculty (Residency) Award.
Dr Lau believes in a patient-centred and collaborative approach — combining clinical expertise, thoughtful interpretation, and compassionate care to support the best possible outcomes for women and children.
