Dr Daniel Chan graduated from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, in 2012. He underwent Paediatric Residency training in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and Singapore General Hospital. During his Paediatric Residency, he served as the Chief Resident from 2019-2020.
As a paediatric endocrinologist, his special interests lie in hypothalamic-pituitary disorders and neonatal endocrinology, where optimising early-life hormonal and metabolic health significantly influences long-term cardiometabolic outcomes. He aims to drive clinical and research collaborations in maternal and child health, bridging neonatology, obstetrics and gynaecology, and paediatrics. Additionally, he maintains a deep commitment to medical education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, mentoring medical students, junior residents, and senior residents.
Research Interests: Hypothalamic-pituitary disorders, neonatal endocrinology, hyperinsulinism, population health.
