Clinical Asst Professor
Clinical Assistant Professor Ku Chee Wai is a Consultant in the Department of Reproductive Medicine at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He received both his MD and PhD from Duke-NUS Medical School, reflecting his deep commitment to medical research and clinical practice. He is passionate about maternal and child health, emphasizing a life course approach to health. His interests include preconception health and early pregnancy complications, and he is dedicated to innovation and harnessing the potential of mobile health interventions to improve metabolic and mental health of mothers, fathers, and children. He has received many national and institution grants, culminating in over 50 peer-reviewed journal publications. He won the National Outstanding Clinician Scientist Resident Award in 2017, given to the best Clinician Scientist Resident for the year. He received the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2022, the INEX-OSCAR Award in 2023, the SingHealth Publish! Award in 2022 and 2023, and the SingHealth Distinguished Young Researcher Award in 2024, in recognition of his research contributions. He has also received multiple teaching awards in recognition of his contribution to medical education, playing an active role in the training of O&G residents and medical students from all three medical schools in Singapore.
