She graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in National University of Singapore in 2016, and entered Obstetrics and Gynaecology residency in 2018. She obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaceology (MRCOG) and Master of Medicine (MMed) in 2022 and received her specialist accreditation from the Singapore Medical Council.
Throughout her years of practice, Dr Lim has always been a strong advocate for women’s health and supporting women through their pregnancy or medical journey. She prioritizes holistic and patient-centric care, and strongly believes in aiding patients to make the best decisions for themselves. She has received the Service Excellence Award in 2024, demonstrating her commitment to patients’ interests.
Dr Lim has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery. She has attended several international workshops and conferences, consistently upgrading skills and surgical techniques. Minimally invasive surgery is associated with less postoperative pain and shorter recovery, and Dr Lim strongly supports this route of surgery for appropriate patients. She is also skilled at open surgery such for cases that are not suitable for minimally invasive surgery.
Dr Lim is well-versed in the management of pregnancy and associated conditions. She takes great joy in accompanying her patients through the journey of pregnancy, labour and delivery and motherhood. As a mother herself, she takes active interest in each step of her patients’ journey, and advocates for patients’ wishes as much as possible. She also has a keen interest in women’s health screening, contraception and the treatment of menstrual disorders.
Apart from practicing medicine, Dr Lim loves scuba diving and is an avid traveller whenever time permits. She believes in the importance of keeping active, both mentally and physically, as a basis for the management of women’s health.
