About Doctor

Dr Ng Qiu Ju is a Consultant with the Department of Gynaecological Oncology in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) and is a RCOG-accredited Gynaecological Oncologist. She graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2013 and obtained the Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd) in 2015. In 2019, she became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and was awarded the Master of Medicine (Obstetrics & Gynaecology). She has practised as an Obstetrics and Gynaecology specialist with subspecialty in Gynaecological Oncology since 2021.

Dr Ng was the first in Singapore to complete the Joint RCOG-Singapore subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology. She trained at Hammersmith Hospital, London, United Kingdom under Professor Christina Fotopoulou. During her fellowship, she also gained specialist experience at Charing Cross Hospital, a leading UK national referral centre for Germ Cell Tumours and Gestational Trophoblastic Disease.

She is the lead for the Oncofertility Clinic in KKH, which is Singapore’s first multidisciplinary clinic caring for young women diagnosed with Gynaecological Cancers. She also runs the Vulval Clinic, Singapore’s only dedicated clinic for women with vulval issues. Since 2022, she is also an accredited Colposcopist.

She was awarded the SingHealth Quality Service Award and Service from the Heart award for her excellent patient care. Dr Ng is a strong advocate of patient-centred care and provides individualised and evidence-based management for her patients. She is passionate about Well Women’s Screening, especially cervical cancer screening and the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological cancers.

Dr Ng is a co-author of the 3rd edition of the popular and acclaimed “Practical Obstetrics and Gynaecology Handbook for O&G Clinicians and General Practitioners”, and contributing author to a textbook on high-risk pregnancies. She is also active in educating and mentoring juniors and medical students from local medical schools.

Dr Ng was the Chief Resident of the SingHealth OBGYN Residency in 2017 to 2018 and Chief Resident in the SingHealth Residency Leadership Programme (SRLP). Dr Ng is also promoting initiatives to improve staff welfare and satisfaction.
