Dr Poo Zi Xi is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the Department of Maternal and Fetal Medicine (MFM) at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH). She is Singapore's first obstetrician to obtain accreditation as a Maternal and Fetal Medicine Subspecialist through the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG), following completion of the prestigious RCOG Maternal and Fetal Medicine Subspecialty Training Programme in London, United Kingdom.

Dr Poo specialises in the care of women with complex and high-risk pregnancies, with expertise in maternal medical disorders, fetal conditions and prenatal diagnosis. Her clinical interests include fetal growth restriction (small babies), prenatal diagnosis and fetal diagnostics, maternal medical disorders in pregnancy, placenta accreta spectrum, and the management of complicated deliveries. She is experienced in advanced fetal ultrasound assessment, prenatal counselling and multidisciplinary care for women with complex maternal and fetal conditions. Dr Poo is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based and holistic care, partnering with women and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes for both mother and baby throughout pregnancy and beyond.

Dr Poo graduated from Imperial College London in 2013 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and an intercalated Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Reproductive and Developmental Sciences. In 2024, she was selected for the highly competitive RCOG Maternal and Fetal Medicine Subspecialty Training Programme in London, where she completed advanced training in fetal medicine, prenatal diagnosis, fetal procedures and the management of complex maternal and fetal conditions, attaining RCOG MFM Subspecialist Accreditation in 2026.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Poo is actively involved in research, quality improvement and medical education.
